1. About these terms
These terms apply to every booking with Scavella Transportation (“we”, “us”), owned and operated by Tyrone Scavella in Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas. By booking a ride you agree to them, together with our cancellation policy and privacy policy.
2. Requests, quotes and confirmation
Sending the booking form, a WhatsApp message or an email is a request, not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed when we reply to agree the date, time and price. Prices shown on this website are starting prices; the final fare depends on distance, passengers, luggage, waiting time and extra stops, and is agreed before the trip.
3. Payment
We accept credit and debit cards and cash, in Bahamian or US dollars at par. Payment is due as agreed when the booking is confirmed. For weddings, events and full-day charters a deposit may be requested to hold the date. Discounts and promotions can't be combined; the best single offer applies.
4. Pickup times and waiting
- Please be ready at the agreed pickup point and time.
- Airport and cruise pickups are adjusted to the real arrival time of your flight or ship.
- For other pickups, waiting time beyond the first 15 minutes, extra stops or route changes requested on the day may be charged.
5. Passengers and luggage
- The number of passengers can't exceed the seats in the vehicle, and everyone must wear a seatbelt.
- Tell us about large or unusual luggage, golf bags, strollers or child seats when you book.
- Children must travel with an adult. Child seats are the responsibility of the parent unless agreed in advance.
6. Conduct in the vehicle
We want every ride to be comfortable for everyone. Smoking and illegal substances are not allowed in the vehicle. Passengers must follow Bahamian law, including on alcohol. We may end a trip if a passenger's behaviour puts the driver, other passengers or the vehicle at risk. Damage or excessive cleaning caused by a passenger may be charged.
7. Stops and errands
Grocery, liquor store and other stops are made on request and as time allows. Purchases are your responsibility; we don't buy goods on your behalf unless agreed.
8. Delays and things outside our control
We plan for traffic and give ourselves time, but we aren't responsible for missed flights, cruise departures or events caused by circumstances outside our control, such as severe weather, road closures, accidents or delays caused by passengers. Please allow sensible time for connections, especially for departures.
9. Lost property
Please check you have everything before leaving the vehicle. If you leave something behind, contact us and we will do our best to return it.
10. Liability
We operate as a licensed taxi and tour transport service in The Bahamas. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Bahamian law. Our responsibility for loss or damage is otherwise limited to what is reasonably foreseeable and caused by our negligence.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
